The student union of the Turku University of Applied Sciences – TUO is controlling together with TUAS the centralized printing in TUAS campuses. This service offers printing services of good quality with more diversified printing possibilities.

How to do it in practise?

1. When you choose ”PRINT” --> Choose the printer ”Canon-turvatulostus”.
2. Walk to the closest Canon-copymachine and log in with your personal username and password (student number and windows-password).
3. Touch the screen and choose that work you want to print à touch “PRINT+DELETE”.
4. Log out by pressing the “LOG OUT”.

There is an ADP-classroom full of computers, but not a single printer?

That’s correct. The printers are multi task printers that are serving many of the classrooms at the same time. You can use the printers for copying and photo copying, so you can make the most of qualities of the multi task printers.

 

How can I find Canon turvatulostus (secured printing of Canon) from the menu bar?

Each computer suggests Canon turvatulostus as an assumption. This will guide the printing work to the server to wait the final printing. You don’t have to print every work, even though you have already selected “Print” at the classroom’s computer.

 

Is there any printing credits at my account?

Every student has a virtual account. School provides credits for each student. These credits are meant for printing mandatory essays and papers. When the printer makes the actual print? Is all my work available for the others while I’m sitting at the classroom?

Canon turvatulostus (secured printing of Canon) is completely safe and secured. The printing device prints only when you go to the printer and log in with your personal username and password (student number and windows-password). From the computer you can print several works, but when you go to the printer, there you can decide if you want to print only few instead of all the works. Every page is available only for you.

 

Is there only one printer per one classroom?

No, there isn’t. You can print from every schools computer and just walk to the printer you choose. If there’s no paper left at one printer, please go to the next one and you’ll get your prints there.
